Maintenance Assistant, Tar River

About the role

We are hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at RHA Health Services. This is a regular position where you will manage tools, equipment, and bench stock, conduct periodic maintenance inspections, and ensure basic safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Manages tools, equipment and bench stock
• Conducts periodic maintenance inspections and ensures safety standards are addressed
• Identifies potential hazards and implements necessary protocols
• Provides 24-hour emergency maintenance
• Reports all emergencies
• Ensures safety measures are implemented according to protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Four years of experience in general maintenance
• Regularly lifts up to 20 lbs, pulls up to 40 lbs, squats, kneels, crawls, crouches, climbs, and stoops
• Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Regularly stands and walks
• Demonstrates proficiency in CPR from the floor level
• Has close, distance, and peripheral vision
• Can talk and hear

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment screening including a complete criminal background check
• Must pass drug testing
• Must have proof of employment history or references
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle if required for transportation
