Maintenance Assistant (Part Time)

About the role

As a Maintenance Assistant at Miller’s, you are responsible for helping with the general upkeep of the physical plant, its property and grounds. You play an important role in patient and visitor safety, comfort and satisfaction. You follow all regulations and company policies regarding safety, infection control, and other applicable standards. You work from a task list and communicate professionally with other departments, patients, their families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks related to electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
• Maintain the physical plant, property, and grounds to ensure safety and presentability
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and company policies
• Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
• Collaborate with a dedicated team and follow written/verbal instructions

Requirements

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
• General maintenance ability and willingness to learn
• Commitment to following all required safety standards
• Passion for delivering great customer service
• Professional appearance, conversation, and behavior
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and screening
• Successfully complete required orientation and training

Qualifications

Exposure Category II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

Pay

$19.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, 20 hours per week (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
