Maintenance Assistant (OPS Full Time)

About the role

This position involves maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and minor repairs. Duties also include moving furniture, cleaning, and other assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with painting, plumbing, and minor repairs
• Moving furniture and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent

Requirements

• Ability to quickly learn methods of repair
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility with a variety of assignments
• Exercise good judgment
• Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment
• Maintain a professional attitude and promote departmental and university policies
• Work positively and supportively with residents and guests
• Use diplomacy when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and ages
• Experience using hand tools and hand-held power tools preferred
• Willingness to learn new skills
