About the role

Founded in 1965, Telecare Corporation is a rapidly growing mental health care company dedicated to empowering individuals in their journey of recovery. Gladman is licensed as a 40-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) providing sub-acute psychiatric treatment to adults 18 and older.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks involving the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
• Performs electrical tasks such as checking and adjusting thermostats, boilers, and facility lights.
• Completes sheet rock repairs and cleans facility vehicles weekly.
• Responds to work requisitions and completes associated paperwork.
• Completes preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and assigned.
• Picks up trash from the front of the facility.
• Responds to immediate maintenance and repair problems, participating in the alternating on-call schedule for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a building maintenance worker, handy-person, boiler worker, or in a related position is required.
• Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
• High School graduation or a G.E.D. is required.
• Necessary skills include knowledge of and ability to perform in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and electrical, heating, and air conditioning repair.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English is essential, as is the willingness to work with adult mentally impaired persons.
• A valid Class II California Driver’s License and insurability are required.
• Applicant must be finger printed and receive clearance from the Criminal Justice Department.

Skills
