About the role
The Maintenance Assistant supports the delivery of high-quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to residents. This role ensures that Cushman and Wakefield maintains superior customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepares market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
- Responds to resident requests promptly and professionally.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
- Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities.
- Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Schedules and performs maintenance tasks as directed.
- Complies with state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Attends and participates in training programs as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
- EPA 608 – Minimum Type II, or CPO, or local city required certificate.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Ability to read manuals, write reports, and use common office equipment.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maintain standing or sitting positions for long periods.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
Skills
- Knowledge of fair housing laws.
- Proficiency in computer software and office equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay
$17.85 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule
Regular working hours are typically 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
