Maintenance Assistant
Position Overview
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible to maintain the grounds, building, and equipment of our Health Campus in a safe and effective manner to ensure the health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction of our residents, as well as organize, develop, and assist with the direction of the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our health campus, and as may be instructed by the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the grounds, building and equipment for the health campus.
- Make daily rounds to proactively identify and address maintenance, equipment and safety concerns that could impact the health, welfare, safety and satisfaction of our residents, families and employees.
- Perform repairs as needed and/or appropriate on equipment, building and grounds.
- Aid with the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal and state regulations.
- Aid with driving the health campus bus for required maintenance appointments or resident trips as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a large van or bus (up to 15 passengers) safely and efficiently.
- Mets all state requirements for transporting residents, including proper licensing and certifications.
