Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support proper and consistent maintenance of facility exterior, including building, rooftop lawn, plant and/or flower beds, walkways, driveways, and underground parking lot
• Support proper and consistent maintenance of facility interior, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, pool, gym, theater, and kitchen
• Complete work orders efficiently and accurately
• Demonstrate safe working practices
• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization may exist
• Prioritize and organize assignments
• May be required to drive community vehicles to and from destinations, safely

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in Residential, Hospitality or Care Facility settings is preferred
• Unit turnover experience is preferred
• Sheetrock and painting experience is preferred
• Ability to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, reach, and lift items or equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Service minded with a willingness to learn
• Current driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Preventative Maintenance utilizing a CMMS and BMS preferred
