Responsibilities
- Perform various duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- Provide maintenance services in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Respond to facility staff and residents to answer questions and resolve grievances.
- Apply building and safety codes to facility situations and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance throughout physical plant and for all equipment.
- Maintain and test the emergency power system to ensure availability of power.
- Maintain essential equipment in safe operating condition.
- Respond to change productively and handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
- Respond to facility needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, general carpentry, dry wall repair, vocational training in skilled trade or other relevant training preferred.
