$17–21.25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspections and repairs of HVAC equipment, cooling units, heating units, hot water systems, ventilation equipment, and other standard equipment
• Assist in repairs and installs of drywall including mudding, taping, and sanding
• Paint walls and ceilings as needed
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unplugging, repairing, and replacing toilets, lavatories, sinks, and replacing faulty gate and ball valves
• Shovel snow and scatter ice melt to ensure safe passage for residents, public, and other employees
• Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing faulty outlets, switches, and other electrical apparatus
• Assist and follow maintenance standards
• Perform general rough and finish carpentry as well as rough and finish concrete work
• Perform general landscaping, yard work including mowing, cleanup, and other types of general yard work
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas
• Perform administrative requirements (i.e., completing necessary forms, reports) and submit to the facility Administrator, as necessary
• Ensure an adequate supply of maintenance supplies is available to perform tasks
• Ensure equipment is clean and safely stored at the end of the shift
• Perform other duties as assigned
