Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the facility grounds and assisting with general maintenance services inside and outside the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds
• Assist with general maintenance services inside and outside the facility
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Organize work schedule to meet work order demands
• Take initiative and work independently

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting, etc.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related field
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be capable of performing the essential job functions and physical and sensory requirements for all job functions
