Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Full‑time Maintenance Assistant position at Kotarides Property Management in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves upkeep of the apartment community to enhance and maintain curb appeal and to assist the maintenance staff, including unit turnovers and minor maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the property by walking the grounds frequently and removing litter, debris, etc.
• Ensure timely turnover of vacant units under direction of the Property Manager.
• Perform interior and exterior painting duties when requested.
• Assist with make‑ready duties and complete unit work orders when requested.
• Distribute notices to residents.
• Be available to report to work during inclement weather events for property clean‑up and emergencies.
• Monitor the condition of the physical property throughout the community and immediately correct unsafe conditions (e.g., burned‑out exterior lights, open holes, broken gates).
• Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment or similar maintenance.
