Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant II to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield features 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living units, 24 residential care apartment homes, and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.

Responsibilities

• Complete interior and exterior carpentry work and maintain utilities for the facility.
• Maintain HVAC, heat pumps, furnaces, plumbing, and electrical functionality.
• Perform record keeping.
• Hang dry wall.
• Clear snow from walkways.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience required (equivalent years of education may substitute).

Skills

HVAC trade or vocational schooling is preferred.

Pay

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills, and education.

Schedule

Full-time day shift, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with an on-call rotation for one week each month.
