Maintenance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Highgate Senior Living. This position offers a unique work environment where you can positively impact the lives of over 700 seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents' suites, gathering and social spaces
• Assist with major and minor mechanical systems of the building
• Maintain building exterior and grounds
• Provide customer service to seniors

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification
• Current negative TB test
• Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance
• Valid driver license with clean driving abstract
• Willingness to attend and incorporate different types of training
• Ability with hand and power tools
• Track record of top-notch organizational abilities and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little oversight
• Ability to pass criminal record/background check
• Efficient time management skills

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $23.00 per hour. Prior experience working with seniors is a plus.

Schedule

This position is fulltime or parttime, with flexible hours.
