Maintenance Assistant
About the Role
Hayden Grove Bloomington is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant. As a key member of the team, you will assist the Maintenance Director in the upkeep of facilities, performing routine repairs, work orders, and maintaining an overall safe environment for the residents, guests and team members.
Maintenance Assistant Job Details
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm / 40 hours/week

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain a regular work schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Experience working in a multi-unit residential setting
Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
Ability to respond occasionally to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision making skills
Responsibilities
Aid with the maintenance and repair of our properties
Perform routine inspections of our properties to identify any maintenance issues
Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work with electronic records system
Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and on time
Skills
Use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our maintenance team and residents
Use technical skills to assist with the maintenance and repair of our properties
Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and efficient completion of work
Attend to detail and maintain accurate records to ensure properties are well-maintained
