Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid and follow direction from the Maintenance Director in daily operations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other facility components
- Maintain HVAC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems
- Ensure the building and grounds are clean, safe, and orderly
- Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director, as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and families, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment
- Ability to work independently while following direction and feedback
- Knowledge of basic repairs and general facility maintenance
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to maintenance and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, sanitation, and organization
