The Job At-A-Glance
- Responsible for providing first-class customer service to prospects and residents
- Ensuring all vacated units are cleaned and prepared for lease and move-in
- Assisting in keeping the property grounds clean
- Handling all work orders promptly and professionally
- Maintaining professional quality in workmanship, communication, personal appearance, organization, and reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the property is clean, maintained, and safe for residents, prospects, employees, and visitors at all times
- Identify and address potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
- Avoidance of potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
- Assess the physical condition of properties and recommend improvements to enhance curb appeal, with approval from the Manager
- Complete all work orders timely, professionally, and courteously, ensuring thorough clean-up before leaving the unit or finishing each work session
- Maintain an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
- Ensure all exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety; oversee necessary inspections
- Set realistic project deadlines and keep the Manager updated on progress
- Follow all applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
- At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Entrepreneurial mindset — creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo to better serve residents and the company
