Maintenance Assistant
About the role
As a CBRE Technical Coordinator, you will assist with engineering operations alongside a team of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You will provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Review work orders and resolve issues.
- Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
- Affiliate with implementing a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
- In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
