Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Technical
  • Ensures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with Federal, State, and Corporate requirements.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Requires full range of body motion.
• Administrative
  • Maintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.
  • Understands department budget.
  • Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, State, and Corporate requirements.
  • May train personnel to meet Center needs.
  • Participates in assigned meetings and in-services.
• Supervisory
  • May assume role of Director in their absence.
• Consumer Service
  • Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.
  • Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
  • Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a long-term care center preferred.
• Ability to read and write English for business necessity.
• Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• One year experience in basic trades preferred.
• Working knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred.
