Maintenance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! Assist with and perform general maintenance tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks and demonstrate a high standard of performance.
• Cut lawn, trims, and edges.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Waters lawn, shrubs, and flowers.
• Make minor repairs to equipment.
• Complete interior maintenance such as painting, carpet cleaning, and wall repair.
• Shovel snow from walks and driveways.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice build-up.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Previous nursing home experience preferred
