Responsibilities
- Make rounds, assess, and make minor repairs.
- Aid the Maintenance Supervisor with large repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned, including facility logs like water temperature, call lights, generator, and fire alarms.
- Assist in training of new associates.
- Occasionally take charge of the Maintenance Department in the absence of the supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to work schedules and coordinate services with other departments.
- Inform the supervisor of supply and/or repair needs.
- Comply with company policies regarding safety and infection control, including the proper use of mechanical lifts, gait belts, and personal protective back supports.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English.
- Positive and cooperative relationship skills with residents, families, and other associates.
- Compliance with local health regulations and passing a post-employment physical exam if required.
- Related experience necessary to perform the job.
