About the role
Complete repairs, construction-type projects, and servicing of equipment according to manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintain equipment and utilities in good working order and ensure facility grounds are properly maintained.
Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned, including facility logs such as water temperature, call lights, generator, and fire alarms.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs, construction-type projects, and servicing of equipment according to manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensure equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and facility grounds are properly maintained
- Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned, including facility logs such as water temperature, call lights, generator, and fire alarms
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or larger institution (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to respond to emergencies and be on-call as needed
- Good working knowledge of state rules and regulations
- Ability to relate positively to residents, families, and team members
- Positive Can-Do Attitude and excellent attendance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
