About the role
The Maintenance Asset Manager is responsible for planning and managing assets—including storeroom inventory and personnel—to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability. Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and routines to support cost-efficient, high-quality maintenance and improvements while ensuring compliance with PMI standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the asset register for manufacturing equipment and storeroom inventory.
- Manage storeroom attendants across all shifts and oversee ordering of assets and non-critical items.
- Perform asset and equipment inventory; monitor deliveries and communicate issues to management.
- Integrate new maintenance equipment, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.
- Keep maintenance documentation current and accessible; ensure PMI compliance.
- Monitor and update maintenance equipment standardization plans and adhere to Change Management processes.
- Facilitate payment processing for repairs and schedule upgrades or replacements.
- Develop proactive, cost-effective maintenance strategies based on best practices.
- Accurately record maintenance processes and data in CMMS (Maximo) or logbooks.
Requirements
- Technical school or engineering degree; experience in continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma preferred).
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in IT tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, PLM).
- Excellent collaboration, customer focus, quick learning, and attention to detail.
