Summary of Position
Performs general housekeeping including but not limited to mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintenance duties.
Principal Accountabilities
- Under the direction of the supervisor of housekeeping and maintenance, performs general housekeeping including but not limited to mopping, vacuuming, dusting, shoveling snow, maintenance duties.
- Makes trips to off-site storage locations for supplies, materials and documents in storage.
- Transports deliveries to center storage areas and distributes supplies, as necessary.
- Dispenses and picks up hazardous waste containers.
- Assists, under direction of trained personnel, in general area clean-up following the decontamination of a hazardous or infectious spill.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or GED.
- Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must have valid driver’s license. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Prolonged standing. Frequent bending, twisting, stooping. Occasional stress from workload. Requires use of cleaning equipment. Normal vision needed. May lift up to 50 pounds. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Pay Disclosure

Typically, new hires may not start at the top of this range, as compensation is tailored to each individual's circumstances. For union positions, salaries will be determined according to the collective bargaining agreement.
