This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13681029  **Maintenance and Repair Tech II** Kansas State University ****About This Role**** This position exists to perform maintenance to utilities, roads, sidewalks, curbs, lights, parking lots, signs, street sweeping, and snow removal. ****About Us**** The Utilities department oversees all utility infrastructure, including electrical, natural gas, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer. Furthermore, they manage roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and all outdoor lighting as well as generators. ****Worksite Description**** This position is **On-site**. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. ****What You\'ll Need to Succeed**** Minimum Qualifications One year of relevant experience. Various training and/or certification may be required. Valid driver\'s license Preferred Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent is preferred. At least two years electrical, carpentry, and/or plumbing experience is preferred. Equipment operation to include fork lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders is preferred Ability to listen and work with detailed direction. Additional Role Information Have and maintain a valid driver\'s license. Must have the mobility to access small work areas (i.e., air handling units), climb ladders, and work in varying temperatures and heights. Work involves considerable physical exertion to transport equipment/supplies weighing 50 pounds or more, unassisted, regularly, on a daily basis. Daily: Hand tools, hand-operated electric tools, Socket sets, open-end wrenches, torque wrenches, current/circuit tracers, ohm/amp meters, grease guns, oil cans, ladders, state vehicles, computers. As required: Genie let, scissor left, JLG lift, Upright boom lift.
