About the role
ArcelorMittal Calvert uses advanced technology to produce high-value steel grades. As a Maintenance and Reliability Electrical Engineer, you will support the Non-grain Oriented Electrical Steel plant (NOES) in achieving business goals through reliability processes.
Responsibilities
- Provides engineering support for the Maintenance Team
- Subject Matter Expert for Reliability Engineering practices
- Initiates and facilitates Root Cause Analysis of equipment failures and major breakdowns
- Identifies and proposes solutions for repeat equipment failures and unplanned downtime events
- Participates in execution of critical equipment inspections and analysis
- Analyzes equipment data, recommends maintenance plans, reviews drawings and technical documentation
- Tracks and trends equipment maintenance performance
- Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering Discipline required
- 3 years’ minimum engineering experience
- Proficient in RCM Practices (Reliability Centered Maintenance)
- Able to perform data analysis on equipment performance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- CMRP Certification
- PdM Certification or Qualification (Vibration, Thermography, Oil analysis, Tribology, Motor Circuit Analysis)
- CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
- 5+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment (or equivalent industry)
- AutoCad working knowledge
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Familiarity with RCFA, Cause Mapping, Kaizen problem solving methodologies
- Proficiency in writing technical proposals and communications at multiple levels of the organization
- PLC Analysis experience (ABB, SIEMENS preferred)
- Medium voltage drives control process experience (ABB)
- Rolling Mills previous working experience preferred

Work Environment
- Office and Industrial setting in a production unit NOES
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
