Job Scope
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is responsible for leading site maintenance, reliability engineering, and capital project activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This role oversees maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, mechanical integrity compliance, asset reliability programs, and capital expenditures while driving continuous improvement and world-class EH&S performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or asset management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and managing maintenance work management processes.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution best practices.
- Understanding of Maintenance Engineering and Mechanical Integrity (PSM) concepts.
- Experience utilizing performance metrics and visual management tools to drive results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet-based business tools.
- Working knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module or similar CMMS/ERP systems.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- Certified Reliability Leader (CRL).
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets.
- Experience supporting Mechanical Integrity and Process Safety Management programs in a chemical manufacturing environment.
