Maintenance Agent, Smoky Mountains

About the role

AvantStay is seeking an experienced Maintenance Agent to ensure property maintenance meets company and legal standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and fixing basic to intermediate issues, conducting inspections, and assisting with onboarding new properties.

Responsibilities

• Partner with local teams to complete maintenance requests
• Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, painting, and replacing broken items
• Prioritize and resolve maintenance issues for guest arrival homes
• Document all maintenance and billing details in the task management system
• Maintain supplies in storage such as tools, extra furniture, lamps, space heaters, and fans
• Aid in onboarding new properties, performing maintenance/touchups, and installing basic security components
• Move heavy objects and stand for extended periods

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general property maintenance
• Current driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
• Reside within a short drive of properties in designated areas

Qualifications

• Understanding of all home upkeep tasks and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pool, HVAC, and landscaping work
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to do what it takes to meet AvantStay’s goals
• Great communication skills and ability to think on one’s feet
• Tech-savvy to troubleshoot home technology issues and navigate apps for documentation
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work independently
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules

Skills

• Property management, hotel, or apartment complex maintenance experience
• Experience conducting home maintenance
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing, pool, HVAC, and landscaping work
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Communication and adaptability
• Technical proficiency in home technology
• Physical stamina and self-sufficiency

Pay

$25/hr company pay rate
