Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and machine repair work on various machines and equipment using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Conducts general facility repairs and supports facility improvement projects.
- Receives written work orders from supervisor and performs work as specified.
- Maintains accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Works from blueprints to install and repair equipment.
- Collaborates frequently with electricians and other maintenance technicians.
- Operates powered industrial vehicles and overhead hoists.
- Performs regularly scheduled maintenance inspections, including press inspections and industrial truck inspections.
- Lays out steam, water, and air lines.
- Reports improper equipment operation and defective equipment to supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification, apprenticeship, or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or related field preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in a production environment preferred.
- Experience with PLCs, electrical systems, motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, motors, conveyors, pumps, and automation systems.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in industrial environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions.
