MAINT WORKER - GENERAL

About the role
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of building surfaces and furnishings, creating and maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for patients, employees, and visitors of the Fairmount Behavioral Health System. The Maintenance Worker reports to the Director of Plant Operations.
Responsibilities
- Completion of assigned work orders (ranging from paint/spackle, electrical, plumbing, and furniture repair)
- Complete morning and afternoon trash runs
- Daily clean up of facility grounds
- Assisting in removal of snow from facility grounds
- Responsible for collection of biohazard trash and sharp containers
- Assisting in moving and assembling furniture
- Rotate weekend shifts as well as on-call shifts during the weekends
Requirements
- High school graduate (trade school preferred)
- Two (2) years’ experience in carpentry, building, equipment, and utility maintenance preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of maintenance, power, and hand tools
