About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IMS, DB2, and Mainframe Application Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms. This is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS, and DB2.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance online and batch processing applications.
• Create and optimize DB2 queries, stored procedures, and database access strategies.
• Design, maintain, and support IMS databases and transaction processing systems.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and developing mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS, and DB2.
• Experience in Retail Banking, Cards, Payments, or Insurance domains (preferred).
• Exposure to Mainframe modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with tools such as Endevor, Changeman, FileAID, AbendAID, and Syncsort.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and SQL optimization.

Pay

The base compensation range for this role in Dallas, TX is $61,087 to $104,364. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
