Position: Field Director
Advocate for evidence-based, common sense gun safety legislation at the state and federal levels.
Operate under the belief that gun ownership is responsible.
Engage with community members and stakeholders to promote gun safety initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to increase public awareness and support for gun safety measures.
Collaborate with coalition partners and allies to advance policy goals.
Represent the organization at public events and meetings.
Manage relationships with local gun owners and advocates.
Support fundraising efforts to sustain the organization's operations.
Requirements
Strong understanding of gun control policies and their impact on public safety.
Experience working with grassroots organizations and community outreach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of gun safety laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in advocacy, policy development, or community organizing.
Experience working with diverse communities and constituencies.
Strong writing and research skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
