Mail Courier / Driver

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver mail and packages to and from specified locations
• Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Report any issues or delays encountered during delivery
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Use basic computer systems to log deliveries, track shipments, and maintain records
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Proven experience as a driver; experience in mail delivery is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, and simple tracking systems)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Professional driving experience with companies such as FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service (USPS) or similar organizations that handle mail/parcel deliveries
• Experience in handling and/or sorting mail and packages
• Corporate mail room experience

Pay

$18.50 - $19.50 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, First Shift (6:30am-3:00pm with some variation to support workload)
