Job Title: Mail Clerk - Contractor Location: Itasca, IL 60143 Work Arrangement: Onsite Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Pay Range: $19/hour - $20/hour Potential Extension: YesJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Mail Clerk to support mailroom operations at our client's facility in Itasca, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening incoming mail, extracting contents, organizing documents and checks for machine processing, and supporting daily mailroom activities. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, following established procedures, and maintaining accuracy while handling mail and documents. Key ResponsibilitiesOpen incoming mail and extract checks, documents, and other contents.Sort and organize mail contents for machine processing.Distribute incoming and outgoing mail as needed.Maintain accuracy and attention to detail during mail processing.Track mail volume and verify received quantities against invoices when required.Maintain an organized work area and follow established procedures. Must-Have QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Basic Windows computer skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to commute reliably to the work location. Preferred QualificationsPrevious Lockbox processing experience.
