About the role
The Magnet Program Director (MPD) is responsible for the direction and management of nursing structures and processes related to acquiring and maintaining American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet designation. The Director organizes the development of the process for successful (ANCC) application, including required documents for designation and re-designation. The MPD directs, provides, and implements education related to ANCC model components and sources of evidence to leadership and staff at all levels.
The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Lee Health mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with system policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, Chief Nurse Executive, the MPD is responsible for the coordination and communication and the overall management of nursing quality. This individual monitors, reports, directs, and integrates actions related to nursing quality initiatives to promote high quality nursing care.
The MPD collaborates with support departments, frontline clinical nurses, and physicians to promote appropriate high quality excellence in nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements strategies for achieving and maintaining ANCC Magnet designation.
- Organizes the process for successful ANCC application, including required documents for designation and re-designation.
- Directs, provides, and implements education related to ANCC model components and sources of evidence to leadership and staff at all levels.
- Maintains and promotes high quality nursing care through collaboration with support departments, frontline clinical nurses, and physicians.
- Monitors, reports, directs, and integrates actions related to nursing quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, project management and progressive or intensive care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Or Multistate Compact RN license required. License must be in good standing.
- National certification in respective field of nursing preferred or must be obtained within in 1 year of hire date.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.

Pay
- Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $45.46 - $61.37 / hour
