What You Will Be Doing

You will own hardware designs for Helion's fusion generator prototypes. You will solve multidisciplinary engineering problems that are necessary for deploying fusion energy to the world and act as a culture driver on a growing team. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager at our Everett, WA office.

Required Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
  • Strong background in analytical, computational and numerical simulation methods.
  • A foundation of understanding of electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling.
  • Experience in taking on analysis problems from formulation through testing and model correlation.
  • Experience with multiphysics finite-element analysis tools such as COSMOL, ANSYS, Opera or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with programming environments (Matlab, Python, etc.) for scripting, tooling or data analysis.
  • Desire to positively impact complex structural designs, rather than just execute on analysis.
