Machinist Tech I

About the role

The Machinist Technician I supports manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining equipment. This position produces quality parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established processes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tool changes
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Identify machining issues and communicate problems to supervisors or experienced machinists
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of machining principles and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Previous machining or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary Pay Range: $23.28 - $31.46 USD Hourly. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
