Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished products in accordance with Honeywell Manufacturing Operations Policies, Practices and Procedures, and Quality Management.
  • Utilizes safe working habits and is conscientious to not endanger self, others, equipment or property.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions.
  • Set up and operate numerous machine tools to precision tolerances from blueprints and sketches.
  • Maintain all process documentation.
  • Primary work will be on a CNC lathe and CNC mill.
  • Makes, modifies or improvises tooling and gauging to complete assignments.
  • Repairs hardware or machine components per written or verbal instructions and performs precision machining operations to highest quality standards.
  • Works with a broad range of materials (stainless, hardened steel, exotics).
  • Performs inspection of product using such equipment as micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate and associated accessories, bench comparators, profilometers, optical comparators, etc. as required to assure compliance.
  • Strives to maintain high personal productivity level and performs other related duties as assigned as well as training other employees when necessary.
  • Able to work independently to meet customer demands and manage workload of department.
  • Must be able to learn and apply new information and concepts within the technical area.
  • Performs complex Technical Assignments requiring analysis of multiple factors.
  • Provides special guidance on more unusual task completions, new skill acquisition and advanced technical training as a recognized Internal Mentor to Lower Level Technicians.
  • Identifies problems and suggests solutions.

About the Role

As a Machinist Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining machinery to produce pumps and compressor components using CNC equipment. Your expertise will ensure that production meets quality standards and efficiency goals. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Arvada, CO location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the quality and timeliness of our manufacturing output, contributing to the overall success of our production operations within the Performance Materials (PMT) business unit.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of milling experience
  • Strong mechanical ability and machine expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T, complex engineering drawings

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of CNC machining including demonstrated working knowledge of G&M code
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or Technical Certification
