Responsibilities
- Set up and operate large vertical turret lathes to perform precision machining to tolerances within 0.001%.
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
- Maintain machines, perform minor repairs, and report mechanical issues to maintenance.
- Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling.
- Document production and inspection results accurately.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent is an asset.
- Minimum of 3+ years in CNC machines experience operating vertical lathes.
- Experience operating Fives/G&L 1600, 2000, and Momentum 2500 is preferred.
- Able to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level and effectively communicate with others.
- Able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transport 10 feet.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be US citizens.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.

- Strong CNC machining background.
- Experience with Large Vertical Lathes.

Hourly: $25.38 - $36.63
