Machinist – Large CNC Vertical Lathes 1st Shift

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate large vertical turret lathes to perform precision machining to tolerances within 0.001%.
  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
  • Maintain machines, perform minor repairs, and report mechanical issues to maintenance.
  • Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling.
  • Document production and inspection results accurately.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in CNC machines experience operating vertical lathes.
  • Experience operating Fives/G&L 1600, 2000, and Momentum 2500 is preferred.
  • Able to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level and effectively communicate with others.
  • Able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transport 10 feet.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.

  • Strong CNC machining background.
  • Experience with Large Vertical Lathes.

Pay

Hourly: $25.38 - $36.63

Schedule

1st Shift (7am-3pm)
