Machinist III- Graveyard

Toray Advanced Composites · Fairfield, CA · 3 wk ago
On-siteManagementFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings using

for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must include only sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, no invention, no summarizing away detail. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. The posting includes EEO statement at end: "Toray Advanced Composites employment practices offer equal employment opportunity..." That's boilerplate, should be removed. Also "Training will take place on first shift or swing shift before moving to graveyard." That's maybe schedule info? It mentions shift training. Could be schedule? It says training will take place on first shift or swing shift before moving to graveyard. That's about schedule/training. We could include a Schedule section if we have specific schedule info. The job title includes Graveyard shift. The posting mentions graveyard in title and training shift. So we could have a Schedule section: "Graveyard shift; training on first or swing shift before moving to graveyard." That's specific. Benefits: none mentioned. Pay: none mentioned. So we should not include Benefits or Pay sections. We need sections: About the role (summary), Responsibilities (major duties), Requirements (experience/education), Qualifications maybe overlapping? Could combine. But we need to follow instruction: use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We can choose which to include based on content. We have summary of functions: that's About the role. Major duties and requirements: that's Responsibilities (duties) and also includes requirements? Actually "MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:" includes both duties and requirements. But we have separate "EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:" which is more qualifications. So we could split: Responsibilities (duties list), Requirements (experience/education), Qualifications maybe skills? But we have skills listed within experience. Could create Skills section for specific skills like GD&T, CNC programming, etc. But we must not create thin sections; prefer few substantive sections. So maybe we combine experience/education and skills into Requirements section. Or we could have Requirements (experience/education) and Skills (specific technical skills). Let's see content: Experience/Education includes many bullet points: high school diploma, 7 years experience, 5+ years on 3 Axis VMC/HMC, 5+ years on 4/5 Axis VMC/HMC a plus, fundamental understanding of GD&T, works independently, follows instructions, attention to detail, proper use of measuring tools, mechanically inclined, team player, can-do attitude, follow written/verbal instructions, communicate clearly in English, able to work and communicate as a team, maintain work areas neat/orderly/safe, ability to read/interpret production specs, diagrams, assembly drawings, technical specs, ability to read/interpret blueprints, experience following written set-up instructions and/or performing unique set-ups, demonstrated ability to resolve unforeseen unique issues, experience in complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations relative to tolerances, dimensions, tooling, feeds, speeds, experience fabricating component parts where set-ups are non-routine and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain. That's a mix of qualifications and skills. Could treat as Requirements (experience/education) and maybe Skills (technical skills). But to avoid many thin sections, we could have one Requirements section that includes all those bullet points. That's acceptable. We also have Physical Requirements section: could be a separate section? Not in the list of headings but we could still include? The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)". It implies those are the allowed headings? It says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect we use those headings where appropriate. Physical requirements could go under Requirements or maybe under a separate section not listed; but better to incorporate into Requirements or maybe a separate "Physical Requirements" heading not in list might be considered not following instruction. Safer to incorporate physical requirements into Requirements section as bullet points. Also note: "Please note roles and responsibilities are subject to change with or without advanced notice." That's boilerplate? It's a disclaimer; could be removed as it's not substantive? It's a note but could be considered boilerplate. Probably remove. Also "Training will take place on first shift or swing shift before moving to graveyard." That's schedule info; we can put under Schedule section. Thus sections: - About the role (summary of functions) - Responsibilities (major duties list) - Requirements (experience/education + physical requirements) - Schedule (graveyard shift; training on first or swing shift before moving to graveyard) We should not include Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay unless we have content. We have skills but we can incorporate into Requirements. We must preserve all substantive information; not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep all bullet points from major duties and requirements, experience/education, physical requirements. Must not omit any. We need to format as
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So each bullet list becomes
    • ...
    . For prose, use

. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for Machinist III- Graveyard. We must not include Job ID etc. We must not include boilerplate: EEO statement, maybe the line about "Please note roles and responsibilities are subject to change..." is boilerplate; remove. Also "Toray Advanced Composites employment practices offer equal employment opportunity..." remove. Also "Training will take place on first shift or swing shift before moving to graveyard." we keep as schedule. Now produce HTML fragment. Structure:

Check we haven't missed any substantive info: The summary of functions paragraph: "The Machinist III must be capable of setting up and machining parts using fixtures and/or CNC machining centers by following the written directions provided as part of the job. At times, may work with a Molding Technician to increase the throughput on the equipment. The person in this role may be responsible to direct the activities of the Molding Technician and ensure that they are following the job requirements. A Machinist III will also be able to run any job in the department including first article production runs. This job involves machining parts per specification by setting up and operating CNC equipment and beginning to develop programs for CNC equipment with Senior Machinist oversight. The Machinist III is responsible for the quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections, care, and maintenance of the equipment, assuring tooling and materials readiness, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment." We need to include that as About the role paragraph. Make sure we didn't duplicate any bullet that also appears in responsibilities; we kept them. Check for any duplicate lines: The responsibilities list includes many items; we included all from MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS bullet list. Did we miss any? Let's recount original bullet list: • Read and follow material specifications, process specifications, work orders that support manufacturing and ensure quality • Read and interpret design drawings and CAD models • Generate tool path programming for 3 & 5-axis machining using CAD/CAM software • Perform set-up and fixturing of raw stock and execute CNC machining of parts from composite materials • Responsible for maintaining calibration and maintenance schedules of equipment in the Machine Shop • Responsible for cutting tool selection and maintenance • Performs intermediate-level machining of parts and tools • Sets up and operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving close tolerances. • Understand
