About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced 2nd shift part-time Machinist who has completed a CNC Machining Program. You will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspect work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produce quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Accurately complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc., according to Company policy.
• Perform duties while exercising good machining practices.
• Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition, including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintain coolant tanks and fill as necessary.
• Train, guide, and assist other employees as required.
• Observe all Company policies, rules, and regulations, including good housekeeping, safety, and security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 7+ years or more as a CNC Machinist Operator.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Understanding of G and M Codes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to attend off-site training and be willing to learn.

Working Conditions

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Proteive Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of the time.
