Machinist III - 2nd/3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Manufacture intricate, high-tolerance components used in flight-critical systems
• Support 2nd Shift hours – 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM
• Collaborate with Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to solve problems and improve processes
• Hold very tight tolerances (.0001-.0002)
• Inspect and quality control all work performed
• Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems
• Plan, fixturing, and layout of jobs
• Make technical decisions in areas of fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English
• 4 years’ experience as a diversified machinist
• Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus

Qualifications

• The ability to support 2nd Shift hours – 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM
• Enrollment & participation in the company’s “F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program” is a requirement for this position

• Knowledge of G & M Codes
• Planning, fixturing, and layout of jobs
• Inspection and quality control of all work performed
• Technical decision-making in areas of fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods
