We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Machinist to work in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled shop creating machining parts and fixtures. You will enjoy both autonomy and support while applying your problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform production machining of routine and custom products using manual and CNC mills.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform setups and production processes.
- Calibrate machines by positioning, aligning, and securing work, utilizing and adapting appropriate tools.
- Use analytical skills to formulate machine adjustments and perform the machining process.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production processes and develop unique solutions.
- Utilize inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates to inspect and certify work product.
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve problems using all available resources.
- Perform daily, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Work in an environment requiring both repetitive and unique products.
- Maintain focus on safety and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of manual mill experience.
- U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year machinist/tooling degree.
- Harding Lathe experience.
- Bridgeport Mill with Acurite control experience.
- Production manufacturing experience.
- Tool making experience.
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and technical documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Previously granted security clearance.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $21.38 - $40.10.
Schedule
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
