Responsibilities

• Assist machinists with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual machines such as drills, lathes, grinders, microscopes and other equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and workstations to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks, including repairing, assembling, and maintaining equipment, fixtures, and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Work closely with team members to complete projects and meet production deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the shop.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to understand and follow machining requirements.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any incidents or hazards.

Requirements

• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. -120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Fully fluent in speaking and writing English.
• Valid CA driver license.
• One year machine shop setting experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time.
• Ability to use/work on parts or tools for an extended period of time.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
