Machinist A - CNC OD Grinder 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate one or more of the following machine types: lathes, mills, grinders, drills, hones, hobs, shapers, bevel gear generators and other machines/equipment as assigned.
• Operate Studer CNC OD Grinder with Fanuc controls.
• Perform quality inspections of work and make required adjustments per general manufacturing practices and company policies/procedures.
• Assist in training operators on the safe use and operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Make necessary adjustments to equipment/tooling to attain required dimensions and finishes.
• Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.
• Comply with company quality and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong utilization of basic mathematics and geometry.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent communications skills and works well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of inspection equipment and techniques.
