Machinist A - 25A - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating a toolroom lathe
• Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Using conversational controls and precision measurement tools
• Performing machining operations
• Conducting quality checks
• Utilizing precision measurement devices
• Monitoring machine operations
• Plan and perform rough and finish machining
• Perform setups independently
• Operate and understand advanced machine tools
• Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate

Requirements

• Ability to work over 8 hours in a shift
• Crane and hoisting experience a plus
• Ability to read blueprints/geometric tolerances
• Instrumentation/Gaging skills required; familiarity with machinist tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage)
• Open to coaching and training with willingness to learn all machines within a cell
• Some physical effort (average 25 lbs)
• US Citizenship required for DOD requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining a plus
• Minimum of three years experience required
