Machine Technician

About the role

Packsize is seeking a Machine Technician who will assist the Louisville, KY team in providing an exceptional customer experience by ensuring our equipment operates at peak efficiency. This role involves managing machine inventory, configuring machines and accessories, diagnosing and repairing machinery, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage machine inventory from uninstalls to installs
• Configure machines and accessories prior to shipment to customers
• Identify and diagnose problems with machinery, accessories, and equipment
• Problem-solving tasks may include resolving mechanical/software issues, operating system bugs, and reinstalling software or hardware
• Assemble/disassemble machinery, accessories, and equipment as needed
• Identify and repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
• Perform tests and run initial batches to ensure machines are running efficiently
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
• Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
• Perform monthly counts to ensure inventory accuracy

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience. They should have machine technician and/or preventative maintenance experience, along with experience working in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with G-Suite and Microsoft Office products, as well as experience with shipping, receiving, and inventorying machines/goods, is preferred.

Qualifications

Excellent work ethic and strong time management skills are essential. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and promptly return emails and phone messages.

Skills

Strong organizational skills, ability to learn quickly, and a commitment to teamwork are key. Familiarity with troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques is also important.
