About the role
Perform a variety of manufacturing and production support tasks to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely. This role is designed to be cross-trained across multiple machine shop functions, allowing employees to support various departments as business needs change.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production tasks in accordance with quality and safety standards
- Cross train and work in multiple areas of the machine shop, including but not limited to:
- Deburring machined components
- Operating CNC and manual equipment (as trained)
- Cleaning and preparing parts
- Product inspection using measuring tools and gauges
- Assembly and sub-assembly of components
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures
- Inspect parts for quality and report any defects or production concerns
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and equipment
- Accurately complete production documentation as required
- Assist with inventory counts and organization of materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a manufacturing, CNC, warehouse, and production environment
- Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and material handling is required
- May be required to lift, move, or handle parts, supplies, boxes, and other production materials
- Exposure to noise, machinery, oils, coolants, dust, and standard manufacturing conditions may occur
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
- This role may require movement between CNC locations and production areas throughout the facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple production processes
- Ability to safely use hand tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment
- Ability to read basic work instructions and follow established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable with good attendance and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
