Machine Shop Supervisor

Location: [Vineland, NJ] Company: Northeast Precast Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Northeast Precast is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead daily operations within our CNC and fabrication shop. This role is responsible for overseeing machining operations, mentoring junior team members, ensuring quality standards, and supporting internal production needs across multiple departments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on machining experience, leadership ability, and working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily machine shop operations (CNC mills, lathes, and support equipment)Program, set up, and operate CNC machineryOversee workflow, scheduling, and job prioritizationMaintain quality control standards and inspection proceduresTrain and mentor junior machinists and techniciansCollaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize manufacturabilityAssist with fixture, jig, and tooling developmentEnsure safe operation and proper maintenance of shop equipment Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experiencePrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredProficiency in CNC programming (G-code and/or CAM software)Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion, Inventor, etc.)Strong understanding of machining tolerances and inspection toolsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong problem-solving and communication skills Pay Range $30.00 - $32.00 Hourly Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or construction-related environmentLean manufacturing or process improvement experience
