Machine Shop Openings - Machine Operators - Machinist

About the role

This role is an evergreen requisition to apply for current and future Machining openings, from Machine Operator I to Machinist II. A-dec is a leading dental equipment manufacturer located in Newberg, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, Swiss Screw, and Sheet Metal machines.
• Perform tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or maneuvering up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Use manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively.
• Walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.
• Work in environments exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration, and/or dust, requiring the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Wear respiratory protection and comply with OSHA's respirator use requirements.

Requirements

• Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and /or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.
• Ability to wear respiratory protection and comply with OSHA’s respirator use requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, Swiss Screw, and Sheet Metal machines.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

There are three shifts available: Day Shift (M-Th, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm), Swing Shift (M-Th, 3:20 pm - 1:50 am), and Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun, 5:00 am - 5:30 pm).
