Recently, the company expanded into industrial applications through its Inovair division, which offers integrally geared, high-efficiency, low-noise compressors and blowers for industrial use. Responsibilities

  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, and developing reporting procedures.
  • Review production reporting before posting.
  • Ensure manufacturing deadlines are met and communicate business goals, processes, and procedures for the entire shop floor.
  • Conduct yearly employee performance and attendance reviews to evaluate eligibility for annual raises and bonuses.
  • Ensure products are run efficiently, eliminate production bottlenecks, and streamline product flow.
  • Review machinist efficiency and maintain a clean, organized work area, machines, and tooling inventory.
  • Manage preventive maintenance and third-party repairs of all equipment.
  • Order shop tooling and manufacturing-specific consumables to ensure continued production.
  • Maintain accurate production scheduling for machines, tooling, fixtures, and personnel.
  • Interpret drawing and blueprint specifications, dimensions, and tolerances to determine cost-effective manufacturing sequences and setup requirements.
  • Communicate daily with the production team, quality department, and management to address priorities, concerns, and machining quality issues.
  • Oversee supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, career development, discipline, and resolving issues in accordance with company policy and laws.
  • Monitor and enforce all safety initiatives in the machining area.
  • Collaborate as a team with all levels and functional areas of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of machining experience with strong people skills for hands-on supervision.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent organization, analytical skills, and a strong work ethic with superior technical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of production supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
